Manchester Orchestra- Let My Pride Be What's Left Behind
8/10
Had to give this EP/DVD a high score. Although it's only five songs, and only two of them are new, the new ones are beautiful and so are the alternate versions of the other songs. The album opens with the track "I Can Feel A Hot One" which is a slow song, very light texture but a great melody and moving lyrics. That first track is already one of my favorite Manchester Orchestra songs. Following that is the song "I Was A Lid" which is more reminiscent of the opening tracks off their full legnth album "I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child". The last three tracks on the EP are older songs including a slower softer version of "Wolves at Night" and a live version of "Sleep 1972". Those two songs are also great songs off of "I'm Like A Virgin losing A Child".
Overall this album is a good one, short but certainly entertaining. So definitely go check it out.
