Showpopr Seeking Interns

Showpopr.com - a fast growing music social networking startup - is seeking interns who want to gain experience in the music and social media industry. We're a very small team based in NYC, but we'll consider top-notch remote candidates who are completely awesome and have a passion for music.

Why a Showpopr Internship?

All of us at Showpopr know what it’s like to be an intern having gone through the process ourselves. We believe an Internship should serve as place where you gain valuable experience for future employment.  After all, employers will want to know what value you will provide them before they invest in you.  (Tip: Simply showing up everyday doesn’t count!)

To that end, Showpopr has developed an Internship Program where we provide you an opportunity to gain measurable results, hard facts and figures that will help you demonstrate your value to future employers.   We will work with you to set goals for your internship and then we will give you a platform to realize them. But it's up to you to make it happen.

At the heart of our Internship Program is the product development process.  We require each intern to contribute ideas from which new products and services for Showpopr will evolve.  Whether it's a new website feature, a new blog series, or an improved way of doing something, you will be part of the process from ideation through delivery. 

Working in the music industry can be very rewarding and its future increasingly lies in the world of technology and social media.  At showpopr that’s where we live!

Work From Home
Showpopr internships are local. This means you will likely find yourself working from home or maybe even your bedroom part of the time, depending where your computer is.  Certain functions may require you to promote or perform other tasks at nearby music venues and other locations, where you can get out and meet your local music community.

Basic Requirements

You must have...

·         A computer and a reliable internet connection

·         An instant messaging service and skype

·         Between 10 and 20 hours a week to perform your internship tasks

·         A thorough knowledge of artists, events, venues, etc. in your area

·         A passion for music

·         A creative mind

This is an unpaid internship position with a time commitment of 10 hours per week and term of at least 3 months
