Unfortunately through the spectrum of my musical tastes there is really only one album being released this week that I'm interested in.

fun. - Aim and Ignite

     Perhaps a decent candidate for this weeks throwback, The Format, former members of which have formed a new band called fun. Aim and Ignite is their debut full length which will be released August 25th. This album sounds similar to The Format's final release Dog Problems. It could even be considered somewhat of an extension of that album as far as textures and songwriting goes. Despite the flamboyant disney musical sound I had to give this album a chance because of the reputation of The Format. I recommend you do the same, and I think you'll find that it gets you smiling.
