



1. Michael Jackson Doctor Likely going down for Manslaughter
It is possible for the doctor who was providing care for Michael Jackson when he died to be arresed next week for manslaughter . He posted a video on youtube thanking freinds and family for support during trying times.
2. Black Eyed Peas Break Billboard Record
The Black Eyed Peas make history on the Billboard charts. They're singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" have kept them at the top of the Hot 100 chart for 20 consecutive weeks, the most ever by an act.
3. Myspace Acquires iLike
It was rumored that Myspace would be putting in a bid to acquire iLike for $20 million. The deal was rumored to be taking place earlier in the week and Myspace confirmed reports on Thursday. No details were released other than the initial price.
4. Initial Line-up for CMJ Announced
The NYC based festival announced the initial lineup for this years festival. It will run from October 20-24th in various venues throught Manhatten and Brooklyn, featuring tons of artists.
5. Leona Lewis Leak Under Investigation
Although everyone's albums and songs leak all the time, for some reason this one is more important? Leona Lewis' single "Don't Let Me Down" featuring Justin Timberlake was leaked and is being investigated . Why that song? Why now? I can't tell you, maybe they think they can actually prosecute someone, anything for money. Good to see my tax dollars at work.
6. Smashing Pumpkins Choose New Drummer
After an open call audtion for the drumming position in the Smashing Pumpkins the band has chosen a musician. 19-year-old Mike Byrne from Portlan Oregon was chosen from over 1000 drummers that auditioned.
7. Michael Jackson Vienna Tribute Tickets Going Fast
Although no line up has even been announced, the ticket site for the Michael Jackson tribute in Vienna is getting swamped . It was reported that the site crashed after over a million people visited it looking for tickets that range from $80 to over $700 in price. On a side not the Andy Warhol painting of Michael sold at an auction for over $1 million.

Bad Lieutenant (former New Order) Posts Music
The group has posted their first single on their myspace page . The track is called "Sink or Swim" and was announced this week by former New Order guitarist Brenard Sumner. The debut album is set for a September 28th release.
